Group Internal Auditor - Betting/Gaming

Remuneration: €55,000 - €65,000 plus bonus, pension, uncapped annual leave.
Our client is a global betting, gaming and entertainment group.
The position involves planning, executing and reporting on a range of Internal Audit assignments across US and European entities and delivering work to schedule. The role will support the Business Audit Manager in their interactions with the Director of Internal Audit and other executive management across the business. The role will require approximately 30% travel across US and European locations.

What you'll be doing...
Planning, preparation and completion of the assigned audit plan in accordance with defined quality standards and deadlines
Suggesting beneficial changes to audit methodologies and procedures across the Group and ensuring high standard quality audit reports are delivered on a consistent basis
Providing value-adding advice and expertise on various aspects of risk management to all departments in the Group and ensuring effective business changes are introduced as a result of audit findings.
Continuous monitoring of external and internal business environment to ensure audit plans and risk assessments are relevant
Assist in the training and professional development of more junior members of the team
Assist in the preparation of Audit Committee and senior management communications.
Working closely with the Business Audit Manager and other Heads of business units, including Finance, Compliance, Commercial and Legal to improve corporate governance, risk management and internal controls.
Liaising with external auditors as required
What we're looking for...
A highly motivated self-starter with the following attributes and skills:
Qualified Accountant with a recognised body and/or equivalent Internal Audit qualification
Minimum of 5 years audit experience in a Plc / practice audit environment
Proven track record in delivering high quality audits and risk assessments
Ability to communicate (both written and verbal) at the highest professional level
Assertive, confident, and ability to influence the most senior stakeholders in our organisation.
High energy and drive, and flexible enough to work in an entrepreneurial, dynamic and changing environment and the resilience to challenge/be challenged
Affinity with e-commerce environments and IT audit related issues is preferred
Strong process, technical and analytical skills, combined with strong commercial acumen
Excellent attention to detail
The potential to take on increasingly senior roles within the Group
Previous experience of the gambling sector would be advantageous but is not essential
