Deputy MLRO for a Global PLC based in Dublin.
The role of the Financial Crime Compliance function is to support, advise and enable the compliant delivery of the Group’s strategic objectives across its the organisation's brands in Europe whilst also working in collaboration with Financial Crime Compliance colleagues in our other global brands.
Working within the second line of defence, the function is responsible for advising, monitoring and reporting on the management of financial crime risks. It provides advice and support to the Board and Senior Management in a compliant manner across its countries of operation and in the promotion of a culture of compliance and risk awareness.
This individual will act as Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer (DMLRO) and as a liaison for matters relating to AML/CTF and with external stakeholders including Regulatory Authorities and relevant industry working groups.
The successful candidate will lead a team which advises, supports and monitors the following areas of compliance and regulatory risk:
Anti-Bribery and Corruption;
What you'll be doing...
Act as Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer (DMLRO).
Ongoing maintenance and development of our Anti- Bribery & Corruption and AML/CFT & Sanctions frameworks including the associated Business Risk Assessments, policies, standards, procedures and training material (both Web based Training and bespoke training) and presenting same at various governance approval committees.
Keeping abreast of Financial Crime related legislative obligations in the jurisdictions in which we are licensed to operate and ensure that the associated policies and procedures in place meet these requirements.
Supporting the MLRO to monitor, manage and proactively engage with external stakeholders including Regulatory Authorities and representing the organisation on industry working groups.
Providing proactive and professional advice and support to the business with particular focus on B2B relationships.
Managing and leading a team of Financial Crime specialists with a focus on the delivering of timely support, efficiency of process and the effectiveness of controls (including QA testing).
Delivering the components of the annual Compliance plan.
Preparing reports for Senior Management and the Board.
Working with colleagues in other geographical locations in the Group to enable the development of global standards, knowledge transfer and best practice.
Key member of the leadership function for Group Risk & Compliance.
Educated to degree level, postgraduate qualification in Compliance or related field desirable.
Minimum of 7 years Compliance and / or Regulatory risk experience in enterprise environments.
In-depth knowledge of European Anti-Money Laundering, Counter Terrorist Financing and Anti-Bribery and Corruption legislation, regulation and practice.
Candidate required to occasionally travel (approx. once per quarter).
