Job Description
We are seeking to speak with experienced Compliance professionals about an opportunity available with one of Ireland's leading Compliance/Risk Advisory teams.
This organisation operates a specialist team providing regulatory advice, risk management and regulatory project management services to entities throughout the Irish financial services sector.
Members of the team benefit from working with numerous corporate entities and advising on a diverse range of issues, particularly new and complex changes to the regulatory environment.
We are seeking an experienced individual to act as an Assistant Manager to the team - overseeing the work of junior and semi-qualified staff in the department and having a closer working relationship with senior staff in client companies.
It is an opportunity to work in a best-practice environment, manage staff, and gain experience with a mix of different financial service sectors.
Main responsibilities:
Plan, organise and deliver assignments, such as external reviews of clients’ encompassing, regulatory/compliance projects, risk management reviews, internal audit assessments, corporate governance and internal control reviews;
Work efficiently and effectively within a team of regulatory, compliance, risk and audit specialists;
Provide advice and expertise to client boards and management on regulatory and governance matters;
Work closely with client management, up to and including board directors;
Design and deliver regulatory training tailored to meet clients’ needs;
Prepare detailed reports outlining findings and recommendations according to project scope;
Preferred skills and experience:
Strong knowledge of consumer regulation and conduct regulation including: Consumer Protection Code, Code of Conduct for Mortgage Arrears, Corporate Governance Code, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing regulations.
ACOI's Professional Diploma in Compliance or similar is desirable
Ability to manage projects with several staff
Strong client focus and excellent communication skills (written and oral)
